Getting credentialed up...

Today I became a member of the ICF (International Coaching Federation) do these type of affiliation really add any weight?

I also have the application forms for the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

I guess I'll find out soon enough!

PANIC!!!

Almost anyway, for ages I've been having more and more problems with Wordpress and gettint strange 500 errors. Finally today after upgrading a few plugins and Wordpress to the latest version I was locked out of the admin pages totally. I wasn't able to get in at all!

EEPP!!

I did a search on the web for anything that related to the error message I was getting:-

"Error 500 - Internal server error" and added +Wordpress

There was loads of people talking about a corrupt .htaccess file, so I carefully followed their instructions but nothing worked.

Finally I was able to log in to my site via FTP and renamed the PLUGINS folder as I'm addicted to plugins and I was sure it was something to do with that.

BINGO!

Suddenly I was able to access wordpress admin again. I then carefully went through all the settings and made sure my basic site was working properly. I needed to reset some of the reading and writing settings but after that everything seemed to work.

Finally I carefully moved over just the few plugins that I really needed and left the rest of the junk in the only plugins folder.

PHEW!

Panic over.

Gay men's confidence coach

Today I activated my niche.

Firstly let me say that I HATE the word niche, there is something so negative about it. So you'll not hear me mention that word again. From now on it's specialization!

I've been looking in to other ways of selling the coaching services. Whilst I'm totally convinced that the best way to get coaching is one-one over the phone, via Skype or face to face, I have to accept that not everyone is ready to commit to that level of time and money right now. So as part of my attempt to increase my income funnel I've introduce a new membership scheme that I'm working on.

In a nut shell there are several levels of membership from just £10 per month for email coaching right up to the full one-one telephone coaching. In addition to the the direct coaching you would receive you'll gain access to some hidden content that will over time build up into your own personal resource kit.

Podcasters Wanted!

Hi All, I considering starting my own podcast on coaching, however from my experience the best podcasts seem to be when 2 or 3 people are all discussing the subject matter. So I'm looking for some technically savvy Coaches that would be interested in starting a regular podcast with me. You'll need access to a microphone, Skype and some recording software such as "Call Record". Don't worry if you have never done anything like this before as we will be doing a series of test runs before broadcasting anything and allowing the public to access it. What's important is that we have the type of personalities that bounce off each other to produce a fun yet informative podcast that will help all of us promote ourselves and coaching in general. I see the opportunity for guest speakers, a listeners questions section and maybe even some demonstration coaching sessions.
